Revisions:

1. Fix: (ShareaSale.com) Works with latest ShareASale.com datafeed format. Works with latest linking format which changed from using userid=YOURUSERID to u=YOURUSERID.

2. Fix: Works with latest categories. Removed "Bargains" since contained only a handful of items. Moved "Sporting" to sub-category "Pets & Animals > Dogs > Breeds > Sporting".

3. Improvement: "Cancelled" products not included. Items with "CANCELLED" in the product name are now discarded.

4. Improvement: Old products not included. Items with a 4-digit year in the product name that is 2000 through 2009 or less than 2 years prior to the current year are now discarded.

5. Improvement: "New" removed from category names. Prefix word "New" is now removed from category names.

6. Improvement: Description formatting improved.

   • "***" removed from description. Characters "***" (e.g.: such as in "*** Begins August 2009!***") are now removed (e.g.: "Begins August 2009!").

   • "\r\n" (newline) converted to <BR>. ASCII-encoded newline characters ("\r\n") are now converted to HTML "<BR>" to generate a newline.

1. Step for GAN users only: Request a new key file before continuing.

3. Replace make.pl, and replace make2.pl
4. Delete contents of data directory (e.g.: /cgi-bin/dyse/calendars/data/*.*)
5. Run make.pl

Revisions:

1. Fix: Extraneous "\0" removed from descriptions. Some descriptions in the datafeed have/had long repeating runs of "\0" in them. These are now removed from the description.

2. Fix: Works with latest categories. Some dog breed categories where showing up on the home page. They have been moved into the dog breeds sub-category.

3. Fix: GAN: Merchant links uses new GAN link format. Merchant links, such as the link to the Calendars.com home page and also abritrary links created using {merch:URL}, now use the new GAN link format which is based on your primary Link ID (lid) and your Publisher ID (pubid).

4. Improvement: GAN: Key now based on Publisher ID. For GAN, the key file is now based on your Google Affiliate Network (GAN) Publisher ID (pubid) rather than the primary Link ID (lid). If you use GAN, you must request a new key file that is based on Publisher ID. To see what your current key file uses, open it and look at the ID value -- a Publiser ID starts with "2100" while a Link ID starts with "4100".

5. Improvement: Font sizes increased in templates. The font size used in the templates has been increased from "x-small" to "small". Upgrading to the revised templates is optional.

1. Improvement: Current year calendars can now be excluded. Current year calendars can now be excluded. By default, calendars for the current year are excluded after August 31st (after the 8th month). Previously, the current year calendars would always be included (from Jan-1 to Dec-31). New configuration variable data.year.current specifies the last month that current year calendars should be included (default 8, for August).

2. Fix: Previous year calendars no longer included. The script no longer attempts to include calendars from the previous year (e.g.: current year minus one) since Calendars.com does not sell previous year calendars.
