If you are not currently an affiliate of AllPosters.com:

Sign up as one of our AllPosters.com sub-affiliates. After you do this, let us know your AllPosters.com affiliate ID and your email address by contacting us. We will email a key to unlock the allposters.pl script.

  2. Submit a Key Request by clicking here.

If you are an existing AllPosters.com affiliate:

You cannot use your existing AllPosters.com affiliate ID unless you are a sub-affiliate of us. You can check to see if you are a sub-affiliate of us by logging into the AllPosters.com affiliate page then clicking on the "Your Parent Affiliate" link under the "Recruit Websites" heading. Our ID# is 859153 (name: "Cusimano.Com Corporation"). If you are currently a sub-affiliate of us, then you can use your existing AllPosters.com affiliate ID and you can proceed by contacting us.

If you are not a sub-affiliate of us, then you must obtain a new AllPosters.com affiliate ID. After you do this, let us know your new AllPosters.com affiliate ID and your email address by contacting us. We will email a key to unlock the allposters.pl script.

By using the allposters.pl script, you confirm that you have read and agree to the License Agreement.


System Requirements

You can run the allposters.pl script on your web server or on your Windows PC computer.

The allposters.pl script is not a typical cgi-bin Perl script. The allposters.pl script is a "run-once" application; you run it once and it creates static HTML files. If you run the script on your Linux/unix server via SSH/telnet then the HTML files are created directly on your web server and you are done. If you run the script on your Windows PC via ActivePerl then the HTML files are created on your Windows PC and you must upload all the created HTML files to your web server. Note that if you select "all categories", the script creates approximately 10,500 HTML files (about 80MB) -- if possible, we recommend that you run the script on your web server so you don't have to spend time upload so many files. If you select less categories, then less files will be created.

The system requirements for each option are:

  1. to run the allposters.pl script on your web server:

    • Linux/Unix shell prompt (via Telnet or SSH)
    • Perl 5 (usually accessible as /usr/bin/perl or /usr/local/bin/perl)
    • Perl module: Compress::Zlib
    • FTP access so you can upload the script and associated files
    • 5MB to 140MB of free disk space on the web server (space depends upon poster categories selected and template used)
    • Minimum 64MB RAM in the web server (128MB or more strongly recommended)

    Ask your system administrator if your web server meets these requirements. If you use free web hosting, such as GeoCities, most of those types of hosting accounts typically come with limited space, e.g.: 15MB or less.


  2. to run the allposters.pl script on your Windows PC computer:

    • You can run the allposters.pl script on your Windows PC computer (provided you have installed on your Windows PC computer ActivePerl which is a free Perl interpreter, or have installed a similar product) and then upload all the HTML files that the allposters.pl script creates.

    • 5MB to 140MB of free disk space on your PC computer (space depends upon poster categories selected and template used). An equivalent amount of disk space is required on the web server where you intend to host the web pages.

    • Minimum 64MB RAM in your PC computer (128MB recommended)


Samples

allposters.pl uses templates so it is easy for you to customize the look-and-feel of the the web pages that allposters.pl creates. The allposters.pl script comes with several pre-defined templates. You can use these templates as-is, or modify them, or create your own templates.
